Well Guys, welcome to my last entry in Europe. This is it - the last month and a half has flown by; i cant believe how quick it has gone. At 18.37 pm (8.37am Aussie time) i board the train in Kassel Wilhelmshöhe Bahnhof and travel to Frankfurt am Main Flughafen, where at 23.30 (1.30pm aussie time) i hope on the plane, heading for Melbourne - changing plane at Singapore.
In München (Munich) I had a really good time, wishing I had a bit longer there. The view from the Olympic Park to the Alps was amazing. After met up with Bronwyn and we walked around the city a bit, as she pointed out landmarks for me, including former royal residences, Odeonsplatz, Marienplatz, Isaar river and more...
Then we trecked to the Hofbräu Brewery, where we met up with a couple of her mates from her studies in München. The Brewery was amazing, and after a Maß (1 Litre Glass) of Beer and Sausages and Apple Strudel I walked out with a very full belly and a big grin on my face! The Beer Hall was definitely a highlight. Along one of the walls is padlocked glasses - these belong to regular drinkers (you have to be going there for more than 15 years to be eligable to have your own personal glass - so imagine twice a week for 15 years - thats 5408 litres of beer!!)
We then went to the Löwenbräu Beer Hall which was also cool. I would have loved to have taken part in a brewery tour but unluckily couldnt time that one well.
Yesterday I went to Allianz Arena (home of FC Bayern München) and it really was alos quite amazing - google Allianz Arena to see photos of it. Technology...
Finally ran from train station to hostel and back to make train, which i boarded very sweaty and stinky from so much running before heading back to Kassel.
Today sees a bit of relaxing and finalising packing. Then as you know back home :(
See you all very soon, Brenton signing out from Europe!
