hi all, sorry we havent uploaded much yet, been so busy! Having a fab time! The last day of Bangkok we went to see the Grand Palace, it was the kings birthday yesterday and thailand has really gone all out to celebrate with decorations, fireworks and that. The 13 hour bus journey down to Krabi was OK at one point it was me miller just sitting there while 10 dutch people sang along to elton John.... Fun! new bunglows are cute, and Ao Nang beach is gorgeous! Friday night we went to the Muay Thai boxing, brutal, didnt think i would like it but its a really good atmosphere and gave us a chnace to see what the Thai's do for entertainment!! Good night in all especially on the last fight. the Thai men gather around one side of the ring and shout bets out to a man, the english commentator explained that they always bet on the underdog, so as this guys losing, everytime he lands a blow the men cheer and shout then with a elbow in the face....a Knockout!!. Saturday we stayed up late so Miller could watch the footie matchs,found a new favourite drink in Mai Tai's cocktail. Sunday we went on a elephant trek through the jungle, both of us were scraed walking up to the elephants, once he started walking it was alright..not very comfy but ok... till he hit a sludgy hill, i swear at one point we were vertical and the elephant was on two legs!! As you can see from the pics, the man got off the elephant to take a picture, were scared cos the elephant decides to walk on a little bit!
Us to ontop shouting Woah, wasnt helping!! Matt let out a girlie scream and we both poo'd our pants!! Scary, glad to get back onto our feet! Finsished the day with a climb up Huay Tu Waterfall, a 7 tier fall, gorgeous! spent the rest of krabi, taking in the veiws. spent the night drinking Chang (45baht = 90p a litre bottle!) and kicking miller's bum in Rummey, score stands so far at 40-20 to me :) Try and get some pics up soon xxxx
