Hello everyone, and sorry for all the confusing talk on the message board about this blog, I just did it so that the front page actually tells you where we are and not where we were 3 weeks ago!Well we arrived in Kuta, Bali off a flight which was again a lovely change from a bus, boat or motorbike!Only thing was though that we got in at 2am and had a little trouble finding somewhere to stay, we ended up bunking down in a room which resembled a nuthouse, it was right behind a nightclub or so it felt with the vibrations and load music, just what we needed! We were totally knackered, I know itmust hack you guys off, us saying were tired but it really does start to take it out of you all this travel, we did 4 countries in 5 days, 2 of the boarder crosses (which are themselves a cause of stress!) in the middle of night fresh off an overnight bus, one airport crossing and one cheekily by foot! But you also have 4 different currencies in your wallet and the temperature to deal with, Malaysia was so hot we burnt on our first day and Kuala Lumpur a bit cooler so we wore jeans in the daytime, something we haven't had to do since we've been away!So back to arriving, did I mention that Aaron was on a huge low getting to the airport after a very stressful day of trying to buy a camera, so in his wisdom he watches the Everton game, and they lost so then he decides to go and get rid of the last of the Singapore Dollars, I thought he'd gone off to buy me a nice present as Singapore airport is just soooo amazing, he trotted up to me with a paperbag (looking good I though getting hysterical at the thought of a present!) and he also had a big smile on his gob (I can hardly contain myself as I looked into the bag) $27 worth of chocolate, any chocoholic would be proud to be handed such a treat but come on seriously $27 of chocolate????? I would have whacked him with them if a small family hadn't been sitting so close (the mum shouting at the two 5 year olds for fighting!).So he starts to chomp through the entire bag, we gets on the plane and he is on a sugar high, we takes off and it wore off, now he's not responding to anything, free food and drink included! I took full advantage of the free red wine, my first (small) bottle in 3 months and free yum yum pigs bum!Any whose…Kuta if you can throw your memory back is the place where the Bali Bombings took place a few years ago, this had really crap effects on the tourism which is still trying to recover and pick up the pieces. It's a pure surfers town (much to my delight!).We got there and spent a couple of days relaxing by our pool (yep sometimes cheap places have pools) it was really lovely, we even got beach towels and someone to make the bed and peel Aarons undies off the bathroom floor (we left a big tip for her!). We ventured down to the beach and Aaron decided to take a surfing lesson, I decided to sit on the beach and capture every moment for our enjoyment! I did take some pictures, but it was hard to catch him actually on the board (it only lasted approx. 4 seconds at a time!) and there were far more interesting guys walking about and surfing, so I was a tad distracted!Well he did it for 2 hours and survived (round of applause for the guy who went in to rescue him twice!).We then had to stay for another couple of days cause I think he overexerted himself and swallowed far too much sea water, cos he got the trots! As soon as he was fit and well we headed over to Gili Tarawangan.
