We arrived at Cordoba, what should have been a 10 hour overnight journey turned into a 15 hour over night journey and halfway through the following day as at about 2am we hit a rock in the road and had a blow out. We heard it but that was about it before we fell back asleep. Seriously the bus seats over here are amazing, as soon as you get on you just want to sleep! The only problem here was that we got on the bus after dinner so were fed and watered, however we only took a bag of cheetos and a bottle of water so by 1.30 the next day we were famished and ready to percy pepper and suzy salt (thanks Gerry) each other and start chomping. When we got to the hostel we discovered that they had messed up our rooms and sent us packing to their sister hostel (never ever let a man sort out accommodation!).So booking into the other hostel was ok for the first day but it got worse! We met a great guy...my names Tom, Cilla and I come from Hertfordshire....whoops of joy from the crowd! He was lovely, so we spent a far bit f time with him, getting ready to go out that night at 2am...yeah you read right things only hot up at this time so it was a task to stay awake, but we did it and had a blast, rocking to what these guys call music! The hostel was full of Israelis, let me explain about this race, some are nice and some are not...these ones were not, rude, got in the way and very very loud. The hostel was a bit grim too so was dying to leave but the rest of Cordoda was ace, I spent a day horse riding while Aaron baked because I forgot to leave the sun cream for him! I went with an English Girl called Jo and we regretted it the next day not being able to sit properly! But the horses were great, there was betty and Bernadette (was Bernard until realised he was a she!), and we had a little bbq at the end!Unfortunately we couldn't force Tom to stay with us so we left him at the bus station waiting for the number 82 and we all know what that's like eh!
