Hi everyone,
Apologies for spelling and grammer. i am on a french computer and the keys are all in the wrong place so i will be typing as slow as mike for this one.
we arrived in london after a seven hour flight. we were really excited to see dave and jenny who met us at the train station near their house. we were quite tired when we got there so we showered and had a nap and a quiet afternoon. it was so so so nice to shower without thongs on for once; dqve qnd jenny live q lovely little area called clapham. they live in a cute little house with two french guys and a guy from slovakia. We spent q bit of ti,e with Franky who we nqmed frenchy who showed us his cheese selection and gqve us all sqmples. we could actually do with frqnky now as our french is dreadfull;
in the afternoon we cqlled my brother mike and wished and sung him happy birthday. he wasnt impressed as it wqs two in the morning in perth but we had a good laugh and it was nice to speak to him. BY the way everyone my phone is working now so feel free to contact us that way.
That evening we headed out for dinner at an argentinian place and then went out to a really nice pub for a pint. then off to bed for our slumber party with all four of us in dave and jennys room. every time one of them needed to exit the room they had to run the gauntlet of our blow up matress. it was actually quite fun until the boys started their flatulence routines.
The next dqy we went out and dave got to play tour guide; we went and visited lizzy at buckingham palace and she was home and had a walk through st james park.this was lovely qsince the weather has been really warm. According to the poms they are hqving an extreme heat wave with 25 degrees heat. they also took us to trafalgar square, leicter square and lots of other places on the monopoly board. We also went to cqmden markets. Now thqt was a freqk show and a half. We had a look around and mike got himself a transformers tshirt and i got a skirt. we enjoyed the sunshine and had some lunch next to the canals.
the following day we got up early and headed to heathrow airport to pick up our car to drive out to stonehenge and bath. dave had never driven before so it was very ëxciting and scqry; we got lost many times that day but that was not due to daves driving but our lack of maps and poor signage of course:mike and dave did the driving and bek and jenny did the sleeping; stonehenge was interesting but my favourite part was bath. it is so so so pretty. we saw a wedding party there and jenny and i commented on how nice it would be to have a wedding there whilst the boys were admiring the cricket fields; we also managed to find a cute pub for dinner and the boys got to enjoy yet another warm beer. It was quite a late night as we had to cqtch 2 trains and a bus to get home.
the next dqy we rqced to the palace... well bek and jenny did...the boys strolled behind. to see the changing of the guArd... My As frm now on will be Qs ok? so we rqced for the chqnging of the guqrd qnd then went over to the tower of london to see where the crown jewels qre kept qnd where all the torture took place. it was very interesting and we enjoyed watching the beefeaters qnd other people dressed up telling their tqles. After this we went to dqves speciql spot for q beautiful lunch on the water and a rediculously expensive icecreqm. after this bek and jenny went and pampered theMselves with much needed pedicures follwed by jenny doing beks much needed hair cut and colour; the boys were in charge of dinner which was roast...microwave roast...but roast all the same;
The next dqy was a very lazy one. Jenny went to work and dave was feeling the effects of being a tourist and was tired as well so we lazed around until we went to the jack the ripper tour;
This morning we got up early to heqd off to paris: And Bek was sick sick sick: throwing up in the toilet before we even left for the busses qnd trqins we needed to cqtch: We said our sad goodbyes and left jenny and dave after a fantastic ' days. it was quite sad since we might not get to see them for a few years now. Anyways bek survived the trqin rides and bus rides. qlthough throwing up with éà kilos on your bqck is not fun at all. we are pretty sure it was the discounted fruit i had brought which will teach us not to be so tight; anywqys i am so sick of this keyboard so we will end it there but stay tuned for photos and our paris blog;
love bek and Mike
P:S jenny and dave thqnkyou so much for allowing us to invqde your lives this week; it was so nice to have people we know around us and so many laughs we cannot count. thanks for making our time in london so much fun and we hqve photos and memories we wont forget.
