Hi everyone,

We thought that it must be about time for another update. We have given up looking for an apartment at the mo due to things like the car getting towed away lol! Any money that we did have had to go on getting that back... thank you to our parents who kindly lent us some money at this troubled time!

Amy has a job. We wont go into too much detail, I don't want to offend anybody lol! We are looking for jobs on the coast now, maybe on one of the islands. Or even back down in Sydney. We feel that we have seen Brisbane now.

We went back to Stanthorpe for a few days last week, to collect some post and to meet up with some friends, and received a 'welcome home!' when we arrived lol! Thank you to Mitch, Emma and Amy's Mum who we received Christmas cards from (and of course those very useful wooly socks for Mike!)

Whilst we were there we visited Bald Rock, the second largest natural formation. Next, of course, only to Ayres Rock. We took a (slow) stroll up to the top and took in the views. There's probably a bit more to see than at the top of Uluru! We then drove over to Boonoo National Park to see a waterfall. It wasn't that impressive - think it must've dried up in the heat! Either that or the locals have been collecting from it because of the drought!

We also saw our first wild Koala as we put our tent up in Stanthorpe. They really are the cutest little things, moving about like teddy bears. The manager said he had appeared about 2 weeks before, but when we looked for him in the trees over the next couple of days he seemed to have moved on again.

Anyway, back in Brissy now. Hoping to move to somewhere with a beach soon. If not it might have to be Stanthorpe again.... NOOO!!
