Huacachina!!! Desert, Sunshineeee, and swimming pool, finallyyyy! Arrived here mid-day from Nazca on the bus. This town is litrally an Oasis surrounded by huge sand dunes! It only has restaurants and hostels soo is a chillout town we could sunbathe in and enjoy our last 10 days :D we spent the days sunbathing at our nice hostel and in the evenings we climbed up the sand dunes and star watched :) The city lights were really cool in the distance. It was really nice. On one of the days we decided to do a wine trip. We went to three wineries which were all different, we learnt about how wines made and about Peru's home made Pisco. The last winery we went to it was run by an old man! He didnt know any english so the understanding of what he was on about was difficult. He just kept giving us more and more wine to try to get rid of the awkward silence we had between us! Mikaela got really drunk from drinking all the wine and we went to bed when we got back! We ate everynight at the same resurants and tried quite a few local dishes which were really good. Unfortunately we both got food poisoning from one of the really nice restaurants we always went too!!! Must have been the chicken or somehthing! We were bed bound for a few days and visited the doctor... not sure if he was actually a doctor but whatever it was he gave us it helped! We hurried on to Lima a day before our flights back home.
