KL City

We arrived in KL on Thursday night after a long trip from Chumphon in Thailand. Took a Train and a Bus ride which were delayed. We arrived at 11pm and found a hostel with a hot shower.... yessss :D

The next day we spoke to family friends who live in KL and arranged to meet up and they offered us free accommodation :) We had a look around Chinatown which is a massive cheap market selling fake designer absolutely heaving and soo hot.

We met up with our friends Boon and Ivy later on and they took us out for dinner. We tried lots of local foods, which didn't look edible!! Most of their foods are covered in slimy egg! but once in the mouth..are surprisingly good! Ivy took us to food markets where we tried local fruits and sweets. Malay Jelly is horrid! haha.

Boon and Ivy were lovely. We both found the locals really kind and giving, we spent lots of time with their family going out for meals and looking around the shopping malls. The shopping here was really good, they have lots of different malls, bit like London :D and everything was Christmasy! We also bought a laptop from a huge electronic shopping mall! 7 floors of just electronics!!

On Saturday we went to a Malaysian wedding. We turned up, ate really good curry, had a photo with the bride and groom, (which about 30 Malays also took a photo of whilst we stood with them!!) and then left! We got given a boiled egg as a lucky souvenir from the wedding. Kla almost ate hers as she didn't realise it was a souvenir!!!! Whooppps.

Kuala Lumpar is a big city, so we didn't take many photos, but had a really good time. We really enjoyed our stay :D

Heading to Singapore next :D
