Bec & Bec's Adventures !!!
Santorini... what can I say ... this island is definitely a must see !
The island is so magnificient due unfortunately to a volcano eruption and earthquake ... in the middle of the island a volcano erupted causing a massive hole which in turn is full of water ... this is called the Caldera. The main island is focused on the caldera which is absolutely amazing. Thus all of the photos from the cliffs are unfortunately due to the above.
We arrived in Santorini in the evening and of course we cant do it the conventional way by jumping on a cheap and fast ferry... no we had to fly basically what they call a charter flight. this was not because we were princesses but because we were stuck on Mykonos due to the wind and we needed to get off ... we flew into a lovely hotel with a huge beautiful pool, which we definitely enjoyed !
the first day in The island of santorini consisted of us waking up by 9am as solberg needed to eat the free breaky asaop... she was very excited - and it did not dissappoint let me tell you ... we got ENGLISH BREAKFAST TEA ... a rareity here !!! We later hung by the pool and headed out for a spot of shopping, before our trip to the volcano and hot springs.
We had decided that a day trip would be nice so we walked down the sheer cliff which is exactly 600 steps. 600 steps is ok ... but when those steps include walking behind the backsides of about 500 stinky donkeys it isnt as fun ... some of the donkeys had muzzles on and were stuck in the corner... naughty naughty ... and sometimes u only have like 20cm to fit past them which is certainly testing, not because youre scared but more the pong that they give off, it is unbearable :(
the day trip was amazing, we climbed the top of a volcano, which is only sleeping .... then we hopped back in the boat for the trip to the hot springs ... you swim through the mud and place it all over your bodies and faces, which bec and i did... we swam all the way back to the boat with the mud on our faces for the benefit of our skin (and also for a good picture hehe) little did we know the mud stains... so bec and i looked like black fellas for a while ... Solberg loved it !!!
That night was spent with some dinner and shopping which was nice and relaxing.
The next day we woke up and walked around the island and bought way too many things.
