One week today and I set off for Southampton. As I’m not sending any cases down with the Baggage Handling Company this time, I’ve not got any clothes out yet. Well that’s a bit of a fib, there are some hankies and four bow ties sat on the spare bed. I will probably start putting out more stuff this afternoon.

I have actually done cruise stuff this morning. Janet gave me some Brazilian reis for Christmas and until I knew how many, I couldn’t buy any more. So last night I ordered some and amazingly they were ready for collection today, Boxing Day! Therefore, I’ve been and picked them up. I’ve also managed to bank all the coins that sit in the piggy bank in my bedroom.

I spent an afternoon last week trying on clothes. The dinner suit trousers fitted, but were, err, cosy, shall we say. So I went to Marks and Spencer to get a new pair and ended up with a whole new suit, oh and a new belt too. No more clothes shopping for me this year.
