Mothering Sunday. Well Pamela's a frisky girl! The sea state is rough and we're moving up and down quite a lot. Because of the evasive action that we're taking, the Captain announced that we'll now not be calling at Apia in Western Samoa. On the last cruise we missed Bora Bora because of propulsion problems. We were, however, given £100 on board credit. This time no mention was made of any compensation, I guess because it's for safety reasons.
I woke up late at 9:30, not really sure why. After breakfast I went to Anderson's and found Barbara. It was a book and crossword morning. Linda came down and played Scrabble. Neither Rob nor Barbara wanted lunch, so Lin and I went together.
Men lost BoS. Again! As the open decks are closed because of the weather deck quoits was cancelled, so some of us went down and played on the Wii for a while. Later on, when I was having a cup of tea by the Pennant Bar, all the tables and chairs slid a couple of feet to starboard. The first time that's ever happened to me.
Lost IQ by 1 point. We lost both the evening quizzes too. Second formal night of the sector. Weather was much calmer by bed time and the Promenade Deck was open around 20:30.
