Got up at 5.20 for the sail in. It was well worth it, an amazing sight. After we docked, we went down to the Stout's cabin, as they had a great view of the Opera House.
I posted my cards, uploaded my blogs and read my emails. One was a refund from P&O for my excursion in Nagasaki. I had no idea it was cancelled. I then wandered about. Since I was last here the exchange rate has made everything astronomical. A pair of Calvins is now the equivalent of about £35!! I decided not to get my haircut in town, as it would be cheaper on board.
Back on board for lunch and I went to reception about the missing tour. I now have a charge on my account instead, for less money, but the same excursion, odd! I went out for the afternoon and had a very good time. On my way back to the ship, I ate a pizza, my first for more than 6 weeks. Magic.
In my cabin, I have time or itinerary change notices to 5 different tours. The Nagasaki one is now cancelled. It's been replaced with a shorter one which doesn't include lunch or a visit to a museum, hence the price difference. I'm assuming the time changes mean only one thing, less port time. I'm really not a happy bunny about this. I wonder how many more nasty surprises they have up their sleeves?
Went up to see the Sailaway and when I got down to my cabin, the Opera House was just gliding past my window. The captain warned of rough seas tonight. I'll be asleep!
About 600 passengers got off in Sydney and around the same number got on. Quite a few are Aussies who are taking a short cruise to Brisbane.
