Hello Sausages
Hi Guys,
This is only a quick postcard to say hi and thank god I'm alive!
We left Thailand on the speed boat to Luang Prubang which took 7 hours of having your kness to your head, I got cramp so many times and had a bloody sore arse afterwards. However this was nothing compared to what I just experienced. We left Luang Prubang yesterday afternoon, we got a tuk tuk to the bus station then the drama begun. I was sitting next to this lady who was constantly being sick and burping as was most of the bus so you can imagine the smell, then dear god a man comes on with a Machine gun!! He keeps looking at us and laughing then going dododododo (machine gun noise) so I start panicking as we were in the middle of no where, it was pitch black and there were sheer drops on either side of us at some point. This is what was going through my head (I've realised I have an overactive imagination) - the driver was going to stop, the 6 westerners on the bus were going to be shot and thrown into a river with these big wheat bags that were also on the bus so we couldn't survive and never be found. I was SO scared my whole body was shaking, I was praying to god and nearly crying because I didn't want to die. When we got off the bus I was SO happy so had a beer then went to bed - I honestly thought my time had come though - Ohhh and there was more thing, the guy with the machine gun went to the back of the bus when the bus died so it was pitch black, the man was behind me and the bus was dead - 15 minutes of praying and the bus started up again, I was so glad I had my St Christopher on, but my god I'm sure it's worn down know the amount I was rubbing it.
Anyway - I am safe and happy as CHELSEA ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE - Guys you have to do my job for me and wind up the Arsenal people.
I am in Viang Viene now about to do the tubbing down the river and see some caves, then going to Vientienne then to Hanoi, I've decided to leave the full moon party as I really want to see Vietnam and I nop doubt will be going back to Thailand in the next couple of years and will go then.
Ohhh I love Laos (apart from last night) it's stunning, we did have our first rainy day yesterday which was a buit s*** I got up and was like WHAT IT'S RAINING!!!
We met these really cool Americans call Karen and Coleen and this other Irish Guy called Paul (there are so many Irish travellers) and they took us to this bar called the Hive, it was really cool and we ended up playing games like I would never (which reminded me of when us girls played it in Chingford when we drank loads of wine then danced to Spice Girls and George Michael). I've got some wicked pictures that I need to load up.
I've been getting a bit home sick today, I think it's due to last night, so I want you all to know I love you guys, I can't wait to see you all again.
Lots of Love - your all in my thoughts.
