We arrived on the night bus in Hue, early morning at 7:30am, my body is aching all over from the uncomfortable bus! There was a guy there advertising his hotel when we got off the bus, he said fed drive us to the town for free and we could have a look at the room, of we didn't like it we could leave!
We saw the room and it's pretty nice! Very clean quite modern and has wifi, air con, cable tv and mini bar! All for $10? Sold!
We had to leave the room so it could be cleaned so asked the receptionist where was good to go eat Vietnamese food! We went to a restaurant called Saigon three blocks away, and had noodle soup! We've missed our noodles yesterday! Food here is GOOD! We're the only white people here though so get a lot of looks!
I'm finding it hard to swallow though and have a sore throat like annie, so I think I've caught her bug! Mine hurts my tonsils though so its probably tonsillitis coming again, as if I haven't had it enough times! I knew I should have just had them chopped! So we got some Antibiotics from the pharmacies to share, god knows what they are and what there for, it was a game of charades trying to act out coughing and sore throat and tonsillitis!
When we went back to the room we went to sleep until around lunch, sleep on the bus is not refreshing! In fact it makes your body ache all over and carting our heavy rucksacks around takes it toll too! Our rucksacks were both dripping wet after being in the luggage hold this time! Somebody must have spilled something! Idiots!
We looked at what there is to do here, quite a lot! There are ancient Tombs to visit, the Citadel, old bomb sites and a nearby national park! We only have three days here though as we've gotta make our way South so we can fly from Ho Chi Minh City to Malaysia on the 15th August when our visa runs out! We also need to book this flight! So we booked a full day tour tomorrow where we take a boat rude along the river to see most of this!
We went for a walk to the town where all of the French bakery's and Cafes are, but we didn't make it! We both feel so ill, i started to feel sick! So we stopped at the nearest restaurant which was an Indian! Prob's not the best idea either! We weren't even hungry we just wanted to take our pills though so I didn't care!
By the time we walked back to the hotel i thought i was going to be sick so we've postponed our tour until the day after tomorrow, just incase we can't make it!
That night, we wanted a croissant yet again just to take our pills with, so we asked for directions to the supermarket! Even a bread roll would do! It was such a trek walking four very long blocks until we arrived at a huge megastore! I only wanted a 7/11! Anyway as big as the building was the only bread they had was a loaf! So we ended up walking out with apple juice, snickers bars, and jelly sweets! It's the only thing that looks remotely tasty in this very 'Asian supermarket'!
