So today up and out early, we got such a good nights sleep, the huts are so comfortable!!! I didn't wanna leave! The hotel arranged for a long-tail boat to take us to the pier and the guys collected our luggage for us, we're not used to this luxury in the city!
And bye bye phi phi! We were on the boat for an hour and a half back to krabbi, there wasn't any space left outside this time, damn! So no tanning, just sat inside, where it's boiling, and the crying babies are kept! :/
From krabbi we got a minibus to another dock 30minutes away and from there we got a long-tail boat to railay! We arrived in railay around 2:00pm which is four hours travelling, not too bad! Were only in railay for two nights but our tour operator wouldn't recommend anywhere to stay as she said none of the places here are reliable!
So we walked up and the beach until we saw people that spoke English and asked them where they were staying, what there paying etc... They said there's a cheap hotel for 500baht (£10) a night down the road, sold! It's called diamond cave resort, our room has no air con, just a fan and the bedroom is literally a bed and a mirror, nothing else, and the ceiling in the bathroom is falling down and covered in black mould.. Nice :) who cares though it's for two nights and it's safe and we intend to be out sightseeing as much as poss!!!
So we went for lunch, just had a sandwich which here is cheaper than Phi Phi, think it was 150 there (£3), and 70 here (£1.41) so less than half the price! Then we went for a walk to see what there is to do.... Nothing! We walked all of ten minutes tops! There's about 5 large restaurant/bars either side if the central pier, and hotel resorts run off behind them. There's not even a beach with sand, where the pair is the water is mucky and full of rocks.
So that afternoon after our boring walk we decided to go back to the room, annie fell asleep for a few hours so I sat outside on the balcony admiring the view! To be fair the view is beaut there is a huge rock formation outside our front door!
That night we went and ate in the hotels restaurant as they had cocktails on, double Mai Thai's! :D and we went back to eating pad Thai! It tasted crap in comparison to the hotel in Phi Phi so even though it's so much cheaper, I'd rather pay more and actually enjoy my meal!
After this we went to look at what there is to do here, we went to the first tour guide we saw and started looking! Apparently this is the island to go rock climbing on! That explains the rocks, and not much else here! Annie was interested so she booked a half day but it really doesn't interest me climbing up a bunch of rocks and I've done it before so I said I'd just take photos!
So clearly my two days on this island are going to be catching up on sleep and not much more! :(
