Got up and realised we have free breakfast and unlimited drinks included here? May as well make the most of it seen as we pay £15 each!
Had peanut butter on toast - oh it felt good! With Milo, Asian hot chocolate, it's amazing, Better than Horlicks!
Then spent the day at Universal Studios! It was amazing!
Took the underground from Nicoll highway, to dhoby gautt and then to harbour front! I was scared to go on the underground and have to change twice thinking wed definately go in the wrong direction! Yet it eas fast and simple! So much easier than London here! And nicer too, no food or drink allowed so its spotless clean and it's civilised people actually let you board infront of them and don't just cram on the trains!
We got off at the shopping mall and all we had to do was get to the top floor to take the monorail to Sentosa Resort Island! Universal Studios is only part of this 4.5 billion US $ development!!
We could alternatively take the cable cart to the island which travels through one of the sky scraper buildings near the harbour! Crazy!
Arrived there and didn't get 20%off entry discount as that was obly offered if you paid by vanquis bank, what a pleb! Oh well it cost £40 but it was worth it!
The Universal Studios Sign outside got us super giddy to go have fun! All the areas of the park are themed and we walked into new York street, were I met
Woody the Woodpecker - he wasn't talkative :(
Went on two big main roller coasters that make part of the transformers hi tech area. The first one was cool the second one was amazing! It goes upside down 7 times with 5 loops and goes underground through mist and all you can hear is petrified Asoans screaming for dear life! It was hilarious! We also got to keep our valuables in free lockers for 30 minutes! And there's nothing to keep you from doing this all day too which is a bonus!
Old Egypt area has a Mummy ride which was a gold mine ride to the mummy's tomb! I gotta admit I was a tiny bit scared :/
Then at the Jurassic park area the rides are abit of a let down, ended up arguing with the stupid old bint working the roller coaster to let us sit facing forward!
The Shrek area was the best, the kingdom of Far far away looks more epic than the pink castle at Disneyland Paris! Got called up to the front in the Donkey show, for looking like a 'smelly ogre' apparently, thanks donkey! Had to scratch my bum and smell my armpit and make a pledge to never shower again infront of hundreds of Asians finding it hilarious! Awkward.com!
Madagascar had the crappest ride! We were sitting on a raft in the water going through a huge ship. They could've made it look so cool if you've seen the movie than you know that it's crazy with bright colours and animals dancing around to the 'I like to move it, move it' Song yet it was just slow and boring! They need to get someone more creative like moi to design these rides!
We had lunch in an old American Diner somewhere on Hollywood street so I could Skype my mum from there! Food was expensive and crap!
Then straight back to the transformers ride to go on the simulator which is kind of a roller coaster 2 in 1! It girates around and we were the only two on the ride sat at the front it felt so real! Sometimes i had to turn around and look back to check that it wasn't actually real and that we were just say in a room! Freaky! Also not the wisest decision to go on after eating! So after that we went on the last ride, the treasure hunt, and I found actual treasure! A broach that i think will have been used to fix a Muslim head scarf in place had broken on the floor! It's going straight in the traveller book!
At about 5:00 we left, knackered after going on the rides all over again to get out moneys worth! As I walked out I got chased by Frankenstein! He was so freaky they stay in Character all the time! Annie tried going up to him to get a photo so he claimed her as his wife, they do both lookalike afteral ;)
Took the monorail back and then had to take the long train back all the way around on the circle line which took 45 minutes! At least we didn't have to stop or change trains though and there was plenty of seats!
Went to eat noodles at the chicken hawker stall but it was closed so had noodle soup at a corner restaurant instead! Weve not had good noodle soup in such a long time since Laos I reckon as Vietnams wasn't the best! Neither is Singapores, no where does noodle soup as hood as Cambodia! Or as cheap for the matter too!
When we got back to the hotel we ended up staying up until the early hours of rhe morning trying to book our flight to Indonesia tomorrow! Annie won and we have to leave as she can't afford to stay any longer and even though I love everything about Singapore and we've not seen half of it yet, I don't fancy staying alone so unfortunately we have to go :(
The wifi in the hostel is so bad its been off all day and all the internet cafes are already closed, plus the travel operators! So our only option was calling the sister hotel to ask there receptionist to book our flight for us at 11:00pm! It was so annoying having to give both of our passport details and my debit card details over the phone to a random stranger whilst our receptionist was busy calling her friend in Bali, checking connections and calling the other office! It was stressful and we were both ready to just give up and cry yet we didn't even have the wifi to Skype anyone and cry!
Anyway in the end we finally got flights booked for £100 each, double the price of what I got it for last night and £30 more than what the receptionist told me it was! I was far too tired to argue though and they helped us out the best they could so I was just glad to have it booked! Think I got a wink of sleep at like 5:00am! :/
