Woke up at lunch Today, we really should have got up earlier to get on with sightseeing but YOLO!
Wasted a couple hours deciding what to do with our lives, how long to stay here and what to budget ourselves etc!
Ended up having to eat at Subway yet again as the hawker stalls open were all full and we needed something wuick! There were no seats either so we sat next two rabdom Asians, it was the most expensive meal to date at almost £7! Crazy!
Then we got in a taxi and spent the day at botanic gardens! It was built by the British however many years ago, I forgot! It's beautiful though, it looks amazing there's people getting married here, having photo shoots here and on such a beautiful boiling hot day like today, it's nice to relax and get a bit of cool shade under all of the trees.
They have ginger gardens with every type of ginger imaginable, I didn't even know that there were more than like 5 different types! There's waterfalls, and a swan lake, with a centre island where we saw the white swans feeding! Beautiful birds but there viscous!
Evolution Gardens was interesting as its a 'tour through time' where you see the moss on rocks that formed billions of years ago before it developed into trees and plants and then more modern flowers! We actually learned something! I couldn't believe it too ;)
I saw a worm wriggling really slowly across the path, it was black and wasn't in segments like most, it was more of a tiny wet black snake and it had a head like a hammerhead shark! Weird? Only in Asia!
We got a taxi home at 5:00 and managed to find a hawker stall this time to eat some local food! Had chicken rice Singapore style, but the chicken is pure grizzle! So spicy rice it was!
Got back to the room and Annie's card was blocked yet again! So she spent a few hours stressing out and Skyping England to fix it! In the mean time I had to preload my traveller card and pay for flights to Indonesia from Singapore and to go to Universal Studios tomorrow! Managed to get nothing booked whatsoever as I didn't have enough money to load on my card, (my traveller card has a maximum transfer limit so I don't go too mad!) so ended up being a real stressful evening trying to sort things out, up until the am!
Decided that we will have to book the flight out tomorrow night instead, even though the price is going up by £20 an hour! :/ and Universal studios will just have to let us in after queuing on the door! Fingers crossed for tomorrow! ;)
