Woke up and decided we were going to move to Seminyak Beach! Don't like all the tourists in Kuta, and don't like the beach! The only good thing is the cheap room £2.50 each a night, to have a private bedroom/bathroom in a very authentic bungalow!
We didn't just want to turn up in Seminyak at lunch, with all our bags walking in the sun would've been horrible so, we met Andhika from last night who works there and I went with him in his motorcycle whilst Annie got a taxi with all the bags!
We drove around a few guesthouses that are all £10 a night, twice the price of Kuta beach, and checked into the one closest to the beach; Pondok Wisata! It's another cute set of bungalows set around a little courtyard!
Walked for lunch to a kind if redtaurant/stall! It's a restaurant but you choose your food from a buffet like at a stall! Had yellow rice, chicken coconut curry and fried spicy egg! An Indonesian favourite!
Then went to the beach! The waves are mad! They come crashing in so hard, ive never seen waves so high before! Im sure some tectonic plates must be shifting somewhere here!
Relaxed on beach all day until the sunset at 6/7 o'clock... The sky turns pinky orange and the sun disappears into the sea... Don't be jel!?
Had Chicken meatball soup on the beach with chilli, noodles and vegetables! Its apparently more of a Malay thing though rather than Indonesia but its available all across the beach at the local stalls! It tastes amazing! Andhikas version was far too spicy though, couldn't feel my tongue afterwards!
Got home and got ready went out! Annie left her mobile charger at the old hotel so we had to get a taxi back to Kuta beach to get it! Decided to down wo bottles of mix max coz were so classy! And it's cheaper here! No one was in the hotel so I just went through all the reception drawers until I found it! Alongside GHD's, cameras, and all sorts of stuff, the thought of stealing crossed my mind but I'm too much of an Angel! Plus some monkey in the bush was about to beat me to it!
Got back and went to Mixwell first for one drink! We could barely get through the door its so packed and boiling hot on a Friday night!
Then went to Bali joes, even more packed out! There's constantly people banging into me and were sweating! People stand outside on the street drinking were it's cooler do even half of the road side is blocked!
Stayed out again until closing at 2:30! All the clubs have to close this early as there was a terrorist attack at the big mega complex of clubs at Kuta beach a few years ago! A bomb went off and lots of people died so every september/october they close early in memory! Scary :/
