So yeah! This is my first entry. I am not in Russia yet, but it is so close I can't stand it. I've been trying to study up on as much as I can on Russian culture. One of hte things I have been looking at is music. Here are some bands that I have found that I like:
- Via Gra - LML
- Жанна Фриске - Ла-ла-ла
- Макsим Ветром - Стать
- Слот - Two Wars
- Serebro - Russian Entry
- Tracktor Bowling - Walking on Glass
- Kukryniksy - Koldovstvo
- Lumen - "Gosudarstvo"
- A'Sortie - Beautiful Love
- t.A.T.u - White Robe
I need to start reading Anna Karenina again. All I've done since I've gotten home is Facebook or look up stuff about Russia. But I need to read about 80 pages a day, which at my reading speed will equal to about 4 hours a day. Because after I finish Anna Karenina, I have to read Crime and Punishment. I know I should leave something for me to read while on the 16 hour flight, but I'm afraid that I won't have it read by the time we arrive. I've got a few more stories to read but they are no longer in print so its kind of hard for me to read them before I go. They have copies of it in English at St. Petersburg Polytech. So, busy busy busy. I also need to start packing. I'm going shopping this Saturday for some clothes to take to Russia that doesn't make me look too American. Well, I'm going to leave ya'll with some links about Russia and the program I am going on. I may not post everyday prior to Russia, but I will do my best to post everyday when I arrive in Russia.
