WELCOME TO PARADISE

What a difference 12-13 hours of sleep makes. We got up today at about 11am and had a wander through a lot of the local touristy shops and restaurants in Fira town.

There's heaps of cool little shops down the cobblestone (or randomly placed rock) alleyways and there's restaurants on the cliff face with epic views. I don't think people even care if the food is any good, they just wanna eat somewhere with the greatest ocean views on the planet.

I took a crap load of photos, there's just so much awesome stuff to see, and there's also some quirky things here and there, like the VB sign or the English translation on one of our menus that read 'lamp souvlaki' and immediately triggered Anchorman references.

We went for dinner to a little place called Salt and Pepper, just off the main drag that was recommended to us. It's just one couple that runs the place, and we were the only people in the restaurant at 6:30pm, so we were a little suss on it to start with, but the food was beautiful (proper Greek style) and the owners were very nice.

After dinner we headed back to the hotel to watch an amazing sunset from our balcony. I took heaps of photos, but I doubt that any will go close to doing it justice.
