CASTLES AND TOWERS AND BEERS
We had an ace day in Prague today, which started with a visit to Prague Castle & Cathedral, where we got to wander the grounds for free and had lunch in the sun.
After that we went into the old town square and went up the clock tower to check (total pun intended) out the views, which was rad. It seems like you can get in and walk around on top of a lot of monuments and landmarks in Europe. Pretty cool. Pro-tip: always take the stairs to avoid the queues made by the Muppets who want to take the elevator.
After a few touristy photos we had a look in the shopping precinct & found a cool little basement bar & sampled some local brews. I pretended I was in the underground bar in Inglorious Basterds, and the people in the corner were suspected agents. I know that movie was set in France but I don't care. Nell thought I was being silly, so I told her she'd thank me later after I save her from the Germans.
One very cool thing about Prague is the price of beer - 25 krown will get you a pint, that's about $1.30 Australian. Czechmate.
