This blog is to let you know that on June 6th at 7pm, my brother-in-law the Bishop John McIntyre, Mac, passed away after a very short battle with an unknown illness. Mac leaves behind my sister to whom he was married forty years and three children. Mac was only 62 and it's stories like Mac's that make Julie and I want to continue our travels around the world. Traveling is like life condensed, you see traveling is all about the journey, not the destination and it is on the journey that we meet people, see places and hopefully help some people along the way that need a lift, no matter where they come from and who they are. This I feel is an example of Mac's life, his life was about the journey and now I guess he has reached his destination, wherever that may be. Mac never gave me advice, but he was always good to talk to, he did however once call me a "uncouth youth", but that was forty years ago, when he was a rebel without a cause. Mac's journey was certainly one to envy and he will be very missed by so many of the people he held his hand out to on his journey. RIP John.

Janet McIntyre Thank you for this kind, gracious tribute to Mac. We enjoyed your touch of humour too. Gotta have that if you are talking about Mac!
