Ozzy rules
Hi all,
Today yet another rainy day during the rainseason in Queensland, Australia. The perfect opportunity to upload loads of pictures. So now we have uploaded all Laos pictures. Cambodia, Thailand stint 2 and Aussie still to go.
Regarding the albums:
- some leftovers from Vientiane, Tha Khek and Savannaketh
- some compulsory Wats
- an album with funny pics and witty captions
- Laos party: this one needs an explanation ... we met these great Laos folk that were staying in the same guesthouse on Don Khong as we were because they had to work on the island for a week. Only 2 of them spoke a little bit of English but they were so friendly .... and invited us to an improvised 'party' where we had a lot of laughter, some snacks, a lot of BeerLao, a bottle of rough Lao Lao and after all the drinking and corresponding games were finished the accompanying hangovers the next morning
Now also some news about Australia (a.k.a. Aussie or Ozzy for short): despite the fact that we were close to cyclone Hamish and the fact that it is obviously rainseason (pissing it down) we are enjoying Australia after a few unforgettable experiences.
First of all the diving at the GBR (Great Barrier Reef) which was very impressive. Second of all the stay and folk (Adam, Scott and Jody) and all the pets (the kangaroos, the wallibis, the snakes, Squawk, Harry, Andy, Molly and most importantly croc Boris) at Lync Haven (www.lynchaven.com.au) in Diwan (near Cape Tribulation. There we had a great day during our shelter from all the rainshowers. That day cyclone Hamish had grown from a category 2 to category 3 cyclone and was threatening to hit town. We had a great time and thanx a lot to the nice Aussie folks up there. It was an unforgettable experience.
Tomorrow we are off to Sydney so more Australian experiences to follow.
Keep those messages flowing as we appreciate them a lot.
cheers,
the travellers
