Cambodia Epilogue

Hi all,

Still trying to catch up with our lack of decent internet facilities so uploaded a lot of Cambodia pictures today (and a last Laos Album from 4000 Islands [called Si Pan Dhon], how could we forget about that?).

We only stayed 2 weeks in Cambodia but here are the highlights:

• Angkor Wat: the millenium old temples are amazing (albums Angkor Wat, Bayon and Angkor Wat Leftovers)
• Phnom Penh: lots of folks told us this was a dirty and expensive city, but for some reason we loved it
• Kep: what a nice of the beaten track quiet place this was where a lot of local folks made there living with fishing (Cambodian Fishing album) and where we met Marcel Machete which was a nice Dutch bloke who owned a local bar (www.kep-riel-bar.com)
• Pyjamas: the new fashion rage in Cambodia and worn all day (not just at night) by a lot of Cambodian women (PJ's album)
• Travelling around: amazing huge amounts of people squeezed in small vans to go from A to B

To be honest we didn't give Cambodia enough credit by only staying there for 2 weeks as it was quite special (but the food wasn't as nice as Thai and it was a lot more expensive than Laos: that's our excuse).
