Did a 9 hour dirve from Taupo to Wellington, should have only taken 3, but Duncan the Kiwi guy who gave me a life, insisted on showing me every bit of scenery there was along the way. There was only one reason why i decided to go to Lake Taupo, and that was to jump out of a plane! Thats right. I did a 12,000ft sky dive and it was awesome. The views of the lakes were out of this world, and we could see the snow capped mountains in the distance. One of which was used in the Lord of the Rings films (or so am told...BOTHERED!). Spent a day in Rotaura (not the correct spelling but my lonely planet is up stairs and can't be arsed to go and get it). Rotaura stinks...literally. The lakes all have heated sulphur trapped, so the place smells or sulphur the whole time! Gave me a headache! Was made to see some of the lakes though, as they have steam rising from them, and you can actually hear the water boiling as you walk passed. Arrived in Auckland early yesterday! Spent yesterday checking out the Muesum, which is probably the best i've been too (i've been to many, or too many!) and checked out a Maori culture show. Which was excellent. They perfomed the dance that the All Blacks perform before a game, was amazing to see live!

Its a hard life but some has to do it...yes i went back to Bali for 18 days to meet Simon. Had a great time and was really great to see Simon even though he had a better tan than me when he arrived, although not when he left may i add!
