Arrived in Kanchanburi yesterday. I am now offically a solo traveller, as Nat went home Monday. After Cambodia we made our way to Northern Thailand. We are now in Chiang Mai, having two days of doing absolutely nothing (so we can recover from spedning 20 hours over last two days on buses), before we go trekking to the Hill Tribes for 3 days. After I opened all my Valentines Cards on Monday 14th, we started making our way to Cambodia. We got local buses on to the boarder, which wasn't to painful and once we crossed the boarder we took a pick up truck. We were cramed into the back of a truck with 13 adults and two children, who didn't speak a word of English. But that didn't stop them talking to us, all we could do was smile. Floating Market was great. Was lovely to see a bit of traditional Thai life, being stuch in Bangkok for a few days started getting me wondering why I was here, but seeing the floating market reminded me and bought back that fascination with other cultures and aspriation to see as much as I can. Finally arrived in Bangkok, flight wasn't too bad...the most stressful bit was trying to find Nat at the Airport, typically we weere standing in different ends of the Airport.
