Spent a day in Rotaura (not the correct spelling but my lonely planet is up stairs and can't be arsed to go and get it). Rotaura stinks...literally. The lakes all have heated sulphur trapped, so the place smells or sulphur the whole time! Gave me a headache! Was made to see some of the lakes though, as they have steam rising from them, and you can actually hear the water boiling as you walk passed. There was even steam coming out of the drains in the street. I walked through the park in the centre of the town that has loads of thermal activity, there is just steam and mist everywhere. At one point i thought i was in a horror movie and was half expecting Michael Jackson to appear in a red suit and bust some moves from Thriller!
