After kicking about in Darwin for a few days i headed to Kakadu National Park for a few days checking out the Aborginal Art which is over 6000 years old. After Kakadu i headed South to Katherine where i spent 3 days. During my time in Katherine i visited the School Air which was fascinating. Its a School that teaches children in outback via radio. It has the largest classroom in the world as covers the whole of the Northern Terriority teaching 200 pupils. Nowadays it supplements the radio with course work and online lessons, but the radio is still used as the main method of contact between the pupils and the teaches. Really fascinating! I also spent a day in beautiful Katherine Gorges. Spent the morning doing a 8k walk along the top of the gorges, with amazing views. In the afternoon i canoe through the gorges. My back was killing me afterwards, but was worth it. So peacful and traqil, really was something else!
