Dear Diary (03/12), Went white water rafting in the morning for a few hours. Some of the rapids were classed as grade 5 (they only go up to 6 & only experts are allowed on these). Sounds exciting & thrilling but to be honest I was a little dissappointed that it wasn't more dangerous, although I did have a wicked time even with the aches & pains of paddling & throwing myself all over the boat! Daer Diary (02/12), Left Taupo at 9.30am for River Valley. Stopped off on the way for a one & half hour walk/hike around the Taranaki Falls. Dear Diary (30/11), Before leaving Waitomo for Taupo went caving in the morning which was so much better than expected. We were all kitted out in wetsuits, harnesses & hard hats (I have looked alot better!!) It included a 37m absail into the cave, a 10m zip line in the pitch black, a 4m jump into the dark off a ridge into water with a rubber ring. Dear Diary (29/11), Left Rotorua at 8.20am after another heavy night out (I can see a theme building here!!) on way to Waitomo. Went to a geothermal park which even if you did get to see the geisha's blow, would still have been a waste of money!! After park we all had some hands on cultural experience.
