Daer Diary (02/12),

Left Taupo at 9.30am for River Valley. Stopped off on the way for a one & half hour walk/hike around the Taranaki Falls.

As everywhere I've been to & travelled through in New Zealand, the scenery is totally awesome & you just have a desire to go & walk the hills & valleys & just explore everything.

Saw the mountain that was Mt Doom in Lord of the Rings, which was pretty impressive indeed.

I am loving New Zealand more & more each day, it is such an amazing place that offers you anything & everything.

Hostel was in the middle of nowhere but was set in the valley with great views of the surrounding mountains & river.

The dorms were hilarious. They were basically 2 long platforms with the mattresses lined up next to each other. You have little privacy in bunk bed dorms but these were in a class of there own (lucky we had such a friendly bus).
