They are expensive ! I'm fact everything in Central Vienna is expensive so be prepared and shop around for your trinkets and gifts.

€1:50 for a small postcard is too much, €5 for a fridge magnet also too much, so do look around.

Oh finally on souvenir shops, they get a bit of a nark on if you go in and don't buy anything, some old trout of a woman I swear did actually swear at me cos I didn't buy anything.
