Hey guys!! Sorry for such a short blog entry. I have been really busy with school and trying to get settled in so far. We are living in a great family owned hotel called Benvenuti. We are provided with dinner and a small breakfast during the week and the food is wonderful!! The whole family runs the hotel together and a really cute old grandpa walks around all day playing jokes on us (he doesn't speak a word of English so we are all convinced that he makes fun of us to our faces.)

I'm taking about 4 classes Education (Montessori vs Reggio) World music (mainly Italian opera) history (history of the Renaissance/ which is awesome because Florence is the birth place of the Renaissance) and introduction to Florence. All of my profs are great, and I think they will be easy A classes *fingers crossed. There is a group of about 40 of us from UD and we were broken up into 4 groups. Each group was assigned a section of Florence (North, South, East, or West) we had to deeply reasearch the area and create our own personalized tours, that included aspects that weren't as well known. Today we went on a tour of the Oltorano area and experienced a huge down-pour.

So far I have had a great time and have met tons of interesting people. I will put my pictures online when I remember to bring camera stuff. Also, I figure that I will update the blog about twice a week to tell you about all the traveling I'm doing. Don\t forget to write on my message board!
