We did a tour of the city on which each stop offered us hotels or shopping malls as the places of interest.
Never thought mel would be bored of shopping!
So after buying some camera cards, souvenirs and a suit we decided we had had enough.
We visited the orchid gardens and listened to the chinese orchestra in the botanical gardens which were both impressive. We then popped in to see the manchester united cafe for the dads - however it is only open 12am - 6am!
We had a look around china town, arab street and little india all bustling with people and a variety of smells - and got even busier at 11pm. Singpore is definitely a night place!
The zoo and night safari were excellent. mel had her picture taken with orangutans who looked very bored by the whole event! We also saw manatees and a baby manatees. The show was fab and the otters collect rubbish - how useful. The night safari saw us ride a tram between lions, zebras etc. However most of the animals just wanted to sleep. The wolves were the best and noisest.
Yesterday saw us head over to Sentosa Island by cable car. We saw the dolphin show and mel and Stu got to stroke a PINK dolphin! We also saw dugongs and lots of dorys in underwater world. Stu went off to see the fort. After an ice cream by the merlion statue we saw the laser and fountain show which was quite impressive.
Just off to raffles to have a singpore sling as a goodbye drink,
Love from the country which is built for night-time!
