our 6 hour bus journey took us up to luang prabang. We took the VIP buis which was the same as the local bus but with curtains and purple frills everywhere! The road is now paved and although windy is not a difficult trip.
Luang Parbang is a world heritage site - the whole town. It is beautiful with its 30 temples and phousy hill, and french colonial buildings. Unfortunately the locals are burning the forests and so it is quite smoky at times. The night market is amazing and absolutely huge. Unfortunately our bags just arent big enough for everything we want to buy! There is also a stall where ypou can help yourself to noodles, veges, rice for 25p per person.
We are visiting waterfalls, seeing tigers, bears, villages and many more beautfil things.
Love from the place where there they sell birds in tiny little cages so that you can set them free (stu thinks they are trained to come back to the seller afterwards!)
