Well,
I have been in Dalat for 2 full days now and it is an amazing place, and probably one of my favourites so far. The scenery everywhere you look is amazing!!!
Yesterday i went on a 4 hour trek followed by a 2 hour kayak trip up Pinhatt Mount (1750m high) and the local lake. The Mount was really steep for the majority of the climb and we stopped every 15 mins for 5 mins because of the heat, the sweat was dripping off me. I actually did the trip with a German couple so it made the trip alittle cheaper and it was well further all the pain to get to the top for the amazing view (see the photo!)
I managed to meet up with a few other travellers whilst i have been here which had been good, so we have eaten at the local restaurants and had a few beers together (although all the bars seem to shut at 11pm in Dalat which is a little strange!). One of the other travellers is actually spending the next 3 days in the temple with the nuns to learn how to meditate.
Today I went on a "easy Rider", which are local motorbike drivers who take you out in the countryside and show you all the local waterfalls and forests and also factories including silk factory. I went with a Dutch girl who i met last night. The waterfalls were amazing and beautiful if not a little bit dangerous to get to.
Went through the farming villages too and saw the coffee farms, vegetables plots and flower gardens (they grow loads of roses here for about 3p a rose). They grow loads of different fruits here because of the cooler temperature (it tends to be hot but not humid like saigon) so i managed to get a load of strawberries for my breakfast this morning.
