Hello Everyone,

As this is one of the last 3 entries I will make to our blog, I will try and make maximo effort to keep it interesting and remember everything we have done this past week…but not bore you all at the same time!

Saturday 19th Feb: Staying at "Cool Bananas" hostel in 1770 which is great (the owner has OCD so the place is immaculate!) Checked out the local beach in the afternoon and in the evening did the "Scooteroo" tour, which was really fun - riding around town on motorbikes, stopping off for a great sunset and wedges. I'm an uber fan of this tour as Danny told me I wouldn't be able to ride a moped - and now I've proven I can - ha!

Sunday 20th Feb: We had a really chilled day; Danny did some fishing (he caught 1 fish but all his hooks kept getting caught on the rocks), whilst I did some sand artwork! Brought some shopping for a bbq in the hostel garden - got chatting to some girls we met on Fraser & Byron Bay.

Monday 21st Feb: As we had a 10 hour bus journey this night, we decided to tire ourselves by doing a 3 hour surf lesson in the morning. Danny took to this very well (as he does most sports) but it is, however so difficult to stand up properly on the surf boards - I managed to touch my feet on it just the once before I quickly plummeted back into the water! After a bit of lunch we were picked up by a lady "Nicky' who took us to her home for an hour long horse riding trek through the rainforest which was lovely (although the trotting left Danny and I a little battered!)

Tuesday 22nd Feb: After 10 hours on the greyhound coach we arrived in Airlie Beach, where we checked in for our "Power play" Sailing boat to visit the Whitsunday Islands. After breakfast, we met Ollie & Kate (friends from Phi Phi) and boarded the boat, where we shared cabin - which were like 2 double bunk beds next to each other. Did some snorkeling around the Great Barrier Reef had dinner and socialized with our crew mates!

Wednesday 23rd Feb: Again we did more sailing, snorkeling & diving (well Danny did the diving) unfortunately the weather was miserable, but it meant we all got to know each other quite well on the boat. To top the day off, during our last snorkell...wait for it...I was stung BY ANOTHER JELLY FISH. Out of 18 passengers and 4 crew members, I was the only one on the whole trip (and according to the captain, only person in the last year to be stung) talk about bad luck eh!? Anyway it felt minor compared to the last one and I've just been left with a scratch type thing on my left hand!

Thursday 24th Feb: After one last snorkel and breakfast we arrived back in Airlie beach. Kate & I did some shopping (for hair bands lol) and had a swim in the lagoon. Got a dominoes dinner and watched the "Social Network" in our apartment for the night.

Friday 25th Feb: Was one of those days where we feel as if we're "hanging around" for yet another 10 bus journey; however the apartment owner allowed us to use the facilities for a day so we weren't on the streets for the day. Went for a walk around Airlie Beach which is really beautiful, skyped families to let them know how we got on!

Saturday 26th Feb: Today! After our last 10 hour coach journey we've finally arrived in Cairns, where Carly & Lois picked us up from the bus station. Sadly raining again but weather is supposed to improve...hopefully by Tuesday...which is as you all know is a very special day - ha! Booking the skydive today for Danny, Ollie and I on Tuesday too. Just had pizza hut lunch and we're all going to get showered for a few drinks in the hostel bar and night out in Cairns!

Will let you know in the next week how it's going up here in Cairns!
