Hello Guys,

Just writing a short & sweet entry to the diary whilst we have internet connection & decent cafe to sit in! Since our last chapter we've travelled about 12 hours up on the Greyhound from Surfer's Paradise and stopped off at the following places:

Thursday 10th Feb: We did "Infinity" - a place full of rooms with crazy lights/wacky things. The staff working failed to mention these rooms would be tiny and dark - a claustrophobics nightmare and for me, not worth the 25$ entrance fee! Did some fishing after and had a few beers at the lake near our apartment.

Friday 11th Feb - Greyhound to Brisbane early in the morning. Danny and I walked along the embankment, unfortunately the lagoon/walkway was closed off due to the floods a couple of months ago. Kate & Ollie picked us up in their camper van and we went off to do some more fishing at "Breakfast Creek". Stumbled across a dog track and put a few bets on! Spent the evening in Brisbane city centre; bowling and playing 3 round of laser quest!

Saturday 12th Feb - Greyhound to Noosaville, where we stayed at a lovely lodge, 2 minutes from the town centre. Checked out the beach, watched a cool band in the bar, had some dinner and a few beers!

Sunday 13th Feb - We took a trip to where Ollie & Kate were staying, which was a campsite opposite a gorgeous lake, where we spent the day fishing and BBQing. Spoke to Mums and Dads on Skype which was great!

Monday 14th Feb - We left Noosa to travel 4 hours to Hervey Bay. Staying at Nomads hostel for one night, we were introduced to the team we'd be travelling to Fraser Island with - got our shopping and alcohol bought ready for the island!

Tuesday 15th Feb - Up at 5am to meet with our teams and get the ferry over to Fraser island! Visited stunning lakes and rainforests, back to the campsite for a Barbie and social night!

Wednesday 16th Feb - Danny and I had a terrible night's sleep in the sauna tent! Danny did a lot of driving around the island in the 4x4 (I couldn't as I'm not yet 21! Typical eh?) We saw Indian heads, turtle lake and back at the campsite in the evening watched an amateur fire show performed by 2 crazy Canadians in our group - was great until they blew fire on a girls arm..eek!

Thursday 17th Feb - Left Fraser Island, all teams got our glad rags on and had Nachos and a bit of a messy night in the bar! Swapped many names to keep in touch, so far Danny and I plan to visit Israel, Canada and Switzerland to visit our new friends lol! Also need to mention the added BONUS of getting 150$ back each for complaining about our tents on the first night (which had been ripped apart by the wild dingoes)...happy days :0)

Friday 18th Feb - Said our goodbyes to everyone. Ate a well needed full English to cure our hangovers and slept the bus journey to Agnes Waters, 1770! Have checked into the 'Cool Bananas" Hostel and treated ourselves to burger and chips for tea (ohh how poor our diets are now!) The main town here is as big as Emmer Green's tiny string of shops, so there wasn't much choice on the restaurant front...Early night in our bunk beds!

Saturday 19th Feb - Today! Have just spoken to Jessica to wish her a happy 21st! Done a bulk upload of photos to the blog, so check them out when you can! We now have an afternoon of laundry to treat ourselves to - we literally have no clean clothes and look like proper backpackers! Going to try our hand at fishing again to save some pennies on dinner! Will let you know how it goes in our next entry....
