While in Dublin, I visited Dublin Castle, St. Patrick's Cathedral and the Guiness Storehouse. Dublin Castle is a modern version since the original structure had been destroyed. Every room was intricately decorated from ceiling to floor. It was exactly what I expected to see! St. Patrick's Cathedral was amazing! Our trip consisted of several lectures at Stevenson College. On Friday, Hamish Irving explained the economy of Scotland as well as some modern conventions that differ from our own. Dorothy Bartlett explained the history of Scotland including religion, monarch, and financial impacts. On Monady, "Paddy" lectured us on the Scottish Parliament and the historical events leading up to it. After the lecture we toured the Scottish Parliament.

Upon arriving in Scotland, I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of sunshine. Saturday was even more beautiful than Thursday, which was ideal for walking around Edinburgh. Saturday was our free day to roam and like I stated above, we were blessed with beautiful weather.
