Arrived in Mendoza yesterday after a long, but comfortable, bus trip. Lazy boy seats and two meals served by a fairly grumpy hostess. Mendoza is beautiful - open spaces, wide avenues, lots of trees and designed around five pretty plazas which makes foot navigation easy.
Our B&B is lovely - best hosts, who have done everything they can to make our stay comfortable and easy. Google Translate - genius!
Had some good food at local restaurants, walked the streets, found a local coffee spot and tasted local wine... Also saved a few pesos compared with the BA spending. Wine route by bike today - check out the pics. We went mal for the Malbec, and struggled to mash the pedals on Mr Hugo's rickety old clunker bikes! (Didn't manage any lactate thresholds).
Off for an Andean adventure tour tomorrow... Woohoo!

Lynda I'm so enjoying your travel tales - wish I could sample some of that red in your pic! What's the wine like? How's the steak? And the hidalgoes? And senoras? More, please ...
