We'd been recommended the 'Parque das Aves' by the people at our hostel. They even went as far as saying they preferred it over the waterfalls. The park is set within a rainforest making the enclosures feel very natural. We'd already seen a toucan in the wild but the walk in enclosures were massive and full of so many different birds. Some would even come up and sit next to you allowing for some amazing pictures. It wasn't just birds though, giant snakes...

It was only a short hop across the border and we were in Brazil! We'd put some serious miles behind us and it felt good to add a new country to our list.
