A last minute decision to venture out to the jungle area of Rurrenabaque and do a tour of the Pampas was one of our best yet. We hadn't even started the tour but Tim managed to do his best pot holing impression and fell down a large sewer drain. At altitudes of between 3,100 m- 4,058 m above sea level La Paz is the highest capital city in the world. This meant even walking up the stairs had us gasping for breath. After a couple of days in Tupiza adjusting to the 2,950m altitude, eating amazing lunch for 70p in the market we set of on our 4 day trip to the Uyuni salt flats.
