Night location: Capri, Italy
A muse of the day: "You would have to be on fire to go in there!" Amber's comment after putting her foot in the water of our beautiful hotel pool.
Today was a magical day spent back in the emerald waters of Marina Piccola. We have talked this swimming spot up a lot to Gareth and it did not disappoint. It remains our favourite swimming location of all time. Once again we swam over to the opposite side of the bay to our private beach and searched for treasure (small pieces of sea glass and ceramics made perfectly smooth over time). After two hours in the water we ate lunch at the small kiosk that overlooks the spectacular scenery and then returned once more to the sea.
This afternoon we took a one hour cruise around the island and once again were astonished by the colours of the emerald grotto and the other caves that our boat reversed into.
Our day was topped off by another lemon granita at the top of the funicular. How lucky are we?

Debra Thank you so much for your blog! My next trip, after one more visit to Paris, is definitely going to be Italy. I will need some travel tips as the last time I was in Italy was 1985! Were you even alive then?
Tennille In answer to your question, VERY!
Rosemary I agree with Tennille's answer, VERY lucky indeed!!!!
Althea Halliday This is a particularly poignant blog for me. I can see it all again: the scintillating blue of the sea, the coloured pebbles, the slung-back chairs of the cafe. I am so glad that you are all there, immersing yourselves in this place that is singular in its beauty.
