Today we wanted something to do, other than sit around. So we went to the info center. we got told some things to do. These were our options: The School Of The Air Museum or The Pioneer Womens Museum. We had a vote and decided first we'd do the pioneer womens museum. When we got there we found out that it was in the old gaol. First we looked in the old womens cells. They were pretty small and there as only a toilet and a bed. They were actually quite warm. Pretty quiet day toady, we are all a bit tired after such a big day yesterday. Had a look around the main part of Alice Springs and did a bit of shopping. The kids has a swim after we discovered that the pool is actually heated (still pretty cold though). The weather is a fair bit cooler - only around 16 degrees and it is cloudy today.

Today we left Palm Valley and headed towards Alice Springs. On the drive we walked to lots of gorges. Our first stop was Glen Helen for morning tea. I had a muffin, it was so HOT. After that we went on our first walk. We walked to the lookout at Ormiston Gorge. We had to climb a lot of steps. There were a lot of trees and bushes. We could see a long way over big mountains. This morning we packed up from Kings Canyon and went to Palm Valley. This was a long drive down a dirt road (it took most of the day). From the camp ground to Palm Valley was about 4km of 4WDing (it took over 30min!), including creek crossings and lots of large rocks to manouver over.
