Back in Delhi for the final few days of our adventures. It's a little cooler than when I was here in August! Gonna spend the next few days shopping and sightseeing - and maybe see another Bollywood movie if Mark will let me. Catching our flight from Kathmandu was a little tight - apparently getting to the airport 1.5hours before your flight isnt really enough. You have to queue for ages to buy a departure tax pass (yes, they make you pay to leave the country),...

We did get on our train, and although it was delayed by 2 hours and we got there 3 hours late, we got to Varanasi yesterday so all was ok. It was our last EVER train in India! Varanasi is really nice along the Ganges. We have a balcony we can see the ghats from and last night we wandered along by the water and watched the religious ceremony (and saw the body burning ghats in the distance) that happens every night. Made it to Agra yesterday - got a hotel with a rooftop view of the Taj Mahal! Yestrday was pretty misty but we went and saw a few ofAgra's other sights and went to a park on the other side of the river, behind the Taj. The view wasn't as good as it could of been due to the mist and clouds, but still amazing.We had a pretty cool rickhaw driver that took us around as well. He took us somewhere where we culd see marble work being done, brought us tea, and even came ...

So after our exciting tiger adventure we came back to Jaipur. Marks tummy got much better and we spent a day looking around Amber Fort and the Old Pink City. It rained for the fist time in 3 or 4 weeks, but fortunatly it was only for an hour or so - just enough time for us to hide in a restuarant and have lunch!

We've spent the day in Rathambore National Park - went on 2 3hour safaris, and saw a total of 4 tigers! From talking to other people, we were pretty lucky it seems. On our morning safari we saw a female tiger in the woods, having its breakfast, about 30m away. Then in the afternoon we saw 3 cubs across a lake. They were pretty far away but with binoculars you could see them playing - pretty cool. Also saw lots of deer, antelope, birds, monkeys, crocodile, boar......
