I haven't upated the blog for a while as I did not have much to say...

After spending Christmas in Mumbai, Donatella and I went to Goa, which was beautiful but not really India. Amazing beaches, very well kept, very colourful, Donatella loved the parties too, but that's about it. It was very relaxing though and I loved to see Dona, even though I always treat her badly, or so she says :-)

When Donatella went back to Italy I went up to Rajasthan by train (almost 30 hours....long long long journey). The train was not clean but it was better than I expected or hoped for. I arrived just a few days ago and I have mixed feelings about Rajasthan. It is definitely (and finally) India, without a doubt.

Jaipur is interesting but I found it quite hostile. Even though I never felt in danger, I didn't feel at ease either. The traffic was crazy beyond belief - both in terms of acoustic pollution and safety - and people seemed not so friendly except when trying to get money out of me, and not even that much then. I left Jaipur after a couple of days without regrets.

And I did well because I'm now in Pushkar, which is an amazing little place. It's a holy city and the spirituality can be easily breathed as soon as one walks in. The architecture is really charming and it's quiet, lovely and safe. I was planning to stay a couple of days, but I think I'll indulge a bit more...

I'm considering whether or not to try a meditation course, but haven't made my mind up yet...dad don't worry I will not give all my money to the first guru I meet, I promise....the last famous words :-)
