OK tip if you are travelling from Phuket - arrive early the queues to get into the airport are to get into the airport building itself not for the toliets as the security checks everyone and every bag on the way into the airport through the doors themselves. Flew internal flights to Bangkok great flight, picked up by our guide to our hotel lots of information and arrive at the Hilton where for 43 quid we have a luxury suite and exec lounge its gorgeous, the hotel has its own beach four storeys up, 360 degree views of Bangkok in its lounge from the 31st floor its great. So after some exploring we had across the river barter our fare in the cab to Pat Pong the lady boy capital of the world - not to mention home of the infamous pussey ping pong sex shoes. The pat pong market was brilliant we bartered for bits and pieces (sorry no gifts chaps its all for us) turned down offers for the sex shoes, managed to keep Ian (just about) through the mirriad of scanterly clad women (and boys) with lots of people wanting to be his friend (he is easily led and it doesn't take more than an offer of a cold beer and air conditioning to get many people into these shows - me included). Adventure over and we head for a contrevesial dinner at La Bouche a french restaurant in Pat Pong 2 (they ran out of names or it was too rude to tell us after passing the signs for Boys, Boys, Boys and Big Balls or c*** R Us). Anyway fabulous dinner really nice, Ian has seen starbucks he is happy he has seen the sights and we can avoid the early start, heat and crowds at the Grand Palace tomorrow! PS Tut Tut home only had three wheels and when you are with Ian cornering is a scarey experience...got home alive. PS still sulking about the footie results.
