This is our first vacation to Hawaii. We've been all over the Caribbean and really hadn't seen the sense in 10 hours of flying to find better sand, water, & scenery, but decided we won't know til' we get there. 

Dean has a last minute business trip come up in Riverside California, so the girls all fly on Thurs morning from Chicago to meet in San Fran. They get the 6 am limo and check in with United and are hit with an  $80 checked bag fee without Dean's status. Airline stimulus.  We meet up in the San Fran Red Carpet Club.    Looks like same start as from Frankfurt last year.    Now to catch the 5 hour flight to Maui . Plan to arrive 4 pm and still have time to go into Lahaina or swim tonight .   On our way !!
