Sun's back out and we go to catch one of Kauai's most unique and beautiful natural pools-Queen's Bath. It's literally 5 min from the Westin.    Take good hiking shoes as the trail is steep and knotty w/ roots, stone, and pink needles. Passing a couple of waterfalls...the ocean opens up in rage and splashing around 15-20 ft below coves. There is a life-buoy and sign counting the deaths of visitors to the Queen's Bath. In winter...the feat...

Lyn and KT head to the room to shower / relax but Jen/Ash are eager to use their Keen hiking sandals and we take a beach cliff access path downward to Annini Beach which is reknown as a "little kid"/family beach . This is a camping beach state park and there are tents staked out and beginning campfires. The water is indeed very shallow and clear. Tuesday is the first organized tour of the Hawaii vacation - A ZIPLINE ADVENTURE.   Its misting and overcast...so we kill time around Hanalei Bay and Princeville mall shoppes.  The ZipTour says they go out rain or shine.  Try the Lapperts Ice Cream which is supposed to be best in Hawaii. We're awakened by the numerous roosters who wildly inhabit Kauai. The Princeville area is on the rugged north coast of Kauai and immediately we look around to what appears a Jurassic Park movie set. The area has hosted the filming of Indiana Jones, King Kong, Jurassic Park, etc. and a number of SE Asia setting war /action movies. Last day on Maui leisurely at the Marriot beach and pool. Arriving at the interisland terminal for Hawaiian Airlines. Again..the airline is attempting to charge us $80 for 2 bages over the 1-per-person limit. We decide to carry the snorkel bag and a tote, but the agent seems a bit spacey and we wonder if she even put our bags on the belt.
