Lyn and KT head to the room to shower / relax but Jen/Ash are eager to use their Keen hiking sandals and we take a beach cliff access path downward to Annini Beach which is reknown as a "little kid"/family beach . This is a camping beach state park and there are tents staked out and beginning campfires. The water is indeed very shallow and clear. Perhaps it remains ankle deep to 100 yard and a reef / rocks offshore. We don't see a lot of sealife, but there is interesting shoreline w/ mangrove type trees and coral. Native Hawaiians are lying in the sand collecting tiny seashells w/ straw into bottles. We imagine they sell these to art stores or tourist gift companies. We watch a family taking pictures w/ a professional photographer and get the idea to take some artsy pictures ourselves . Ash wants to shot pictures like an "album cover". Some of my favorite shots of the vacation.
We goof around till almost dark and then realize the steep path is going to be pitch black and difficult / muddy upwards given the on-off rain. We make it back to the room....tired and hungry. Dinner is shrimp and chicken Quesadillas and we stay in play cards and watch Twilight before falling to sleep early.
