we have just been to Ko Pi-Pi islands for a few days, its where the beach was filmed with big Leo Decap himself, i cant remember seeing it but the beach itself was stunning like most of the islands we have visited, the past 2 weeks have been 1 big island hopping adventure around asia, looking at our trip its more like island hopping around the world, im loving travelling i wanna do it for the next few years hopefully, so a little about pi-pi, its about 1.30hrs from Krabi and was sadly damaged by the tsunarmi, the locals all pitched in and its almost back to its original postcard look, we stayed @ long beach which is south from the jetty, all the main nightlife is right along the jetty, as soon as we docked in it was like a cattle market, peops trying to sell their hotels/hostels/trips, pretty much everything, 1 guy give me a flyer with traditional thai boxing every night, it read "fights each night, anyone welcome to join in (in other words all the dudes who have had a few beers come on stage and get a real arse-whooping), also lady fights and the best was "lady-boy fights", i had a little chuckle at that 1 !!!!!!, so as on most islands we done us some snorkelling at a few differant spots, and ofcourse visited "the beach" , it was packed with photo-happy tourists, trying to find the leo himself, it was stunning to see thou, as for the diving it was ok, the thai peops are really nice we have found apart from the ones who try to fleece ya (get them everywhere thou), i was just chilling last night @ our hostel in Phuket (old town hostel) and the lady who works here started having a litte chat about the area etc, she than brings me a selection of thai desserts to have a dabble at, she has been so helpful to me and ells, its nice to meet genuine folks along the way, most of the time there probably sick of seeing stinky backpackers, so as you have figured out we are in Phuket town, the tourist capital of thailand, we have yet to see the gucci hotels along the beaches as we are paying about 2 quid each and its smart and clean, infact compared to some its 5 star in our eyes, we loved Malaysian prices and Thailand is on par, the ale is loads cheaper due to Malaysia being a mostly muslim country, but here its penny's, a bit bottle of local ale, singa/chang from the supermarket cost me less than 50p, we had a meal last night and again the local tucca is delish, for less that 2 pound, as for cloths we are gonna wait for Bangkok and go from there, you might see me doing a boot-sale with loads of gear back home, see how much baht i have when im ready to fly home, ok back to travels, we are gonna spent a few days here then off to the east coast then to Bangkok, i think ellie wants to see a lady-boy show here ?????????, we will just wait and see !!!!!, now if it was a ping-pong show - lets roll !!!!.
